Safety and Abuse Survivors

Posted On : 01.04.22

In the UK, it is estimated that over 1.5 million women aged between 16-74 have suffered from some form of abuse at some point of their lives. It is also estimated that these figures worsen on a global scale. This can not be allowed to continue. We must protect women and girls in the UK and internationally in a combination of collaborative efforts. All we want is for women to feel safe!

For too long, women have felt too unsafe to walk down a darkened street on their own; catch public transport with friends or family and just being able to feel like they can live their own lives. You might have felt unease towards the prospect of going for a run or not wanting to take a taxi ride alone; if you can relate to this? We hear you and we want to make sure  your voices are heard.

The general right to feel safe rings especially true for abuse survivors. After undergoing any form of abuse, how you live your life and how you perceive the world can change drastically. For many abuse survivors, reintegrating into modern society can see seem daunting and even scary. Luckily, you do not have to do this alone. We are here to support you.

Women deserve the right to feel safe no matter the situation or surroundings. By supporting us, you are helping women from all backgrounds feel and remain safe.
