Our first free self-defence course for women & girls
At Alpha Omega WPS foundation, one of our key values is women’s security.
We understand how important it is that women feel safe, no matter their surroundings. As we continue to hear stories about women losing their lives while simply exercising their rights to walk home alone or exercise in public, not to mention the women who are injured or lose their lives at the hands of someone they know every year, we feel that it’s as important as it’s ever been for all women to be confident in defending themselves.
With this in mind, we are proud to be rolling out our first free self-defence course for women and girls!
The course began at the beginning of July, and our wonderful attendees have been getting stuck into the classes…
The five-week course features support and training from martial arts expert Darren Harper, and the classes are taking place at Beechwood Primary School in Crewe.
We hope that this course will go some way to providing a feeling of security and confidence among the women who are taking part, and as our goal is for all women and girls to feel confident in defending themselves, we will be offering a second course in September – keep your eyes peeled as we will be sharing further details closer to the time on our social media pages!
