I’m Ken Lawton and I am a businessman from South Cheshire. I am also a former UK kick-boxing champion. It is through Martial Arts that I learned much about determination and great discipline. These are qualities that have helped me to succeed in my career. I am also passionate about giving back to society, and as a result of my successful career I have been able to support numerous charitable and worthwhile causes over many years.

Some of the causes I have been privileged to be able to support include a number of health based charities, including cancer research and support charities, hospices and the heart foundation (including CRY for Matthew, which is about research into cardiac risk in young people). I have also supported the Red Cross, amongst many others. In March 2019 a good friend (another former UK kick-boxing champion) and I entered the boxing ring for a final time in the Road to the Ring event. This was at Nantwich Civic Hall and was supported by many famous boxers and celebrities, to raise money for Christies and the British Heart Foundation.

I have also supported numerous other causes and events, aimed at giving young people opportunities in sport and at helping to provide fun events and experiences to communities I have been involved with. On a wider front, I have been involved with charities with a further reach than just the UK, including fundraising for Save The Children.

I am a great believer in sharing success, in order to help improve and enhance people’s lives. Through my involvement with the WPS Foundation I can help make a positive difference in the UK and internationally.
